With the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade (which protected women’s right to an abortion); and the almost immediate move by the bible belt state’s to criminalize abortion, it’s easy to sit here and think WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK. It’s easy to be discouraged and disappointed. It’s easy to think that this is the new normal.

However, I am here to tell you that we will not stop fighting. We will not give in and allow this oppression. We will not be defeated by a bunch of old white men who think they know the difference between a fallopian tube and a uterus. We will not be silenced.

“As long as I make my little corner of the world sane, I won’t let the insanity win.”

Diane Lockhart, The GoodFight

In light of the fuckery that is America today, I have compiled a list of books written by women to help you feel inspired during this time. Read, absorb and prepare for the fight of your life.

We ride at dawn.

  1. Fight Back and Win by Gloria Allred

Fight Back and Win is one of my favorite motivational books. Allred discusses her own struggles with rape, abortion and the shame she received because of it. She discusses how she took that traumatic event and turned it into a successful and loud career. This truly is one of the best books to read right now if you are seeking strength to fight the good fight and protect our right to safe abortion.
